Hello, and welcome to my site! For those of you who don't know me, I am a jazz and symphony pops vocalist, with a rich background in blues and gospel music. I have been a singer of jazz, blues, gospel and symphony pops for over three decades. Please visit my Biography page for detailed information.

Last year ended with a bang, and I’m looking forward to new and exciting performance opportunities this year! Please visit my One on One for a recap of 2008 highlights...and...for a look at new performance highlights coming up in 2009!

Two of those upcoming performance highlights are especially exciting for me. The first is a November 8 - 15 performance with my trio aboard the 2009 Holland America Jazz Cruise departing out of Ft. Lauderdale. This year’s lineup of musicians is incredible. Book YOUR reservations early!

The second highlight is a dream come true. I have partnered with Fred Stride and Vancouver’s First United Church to present Duke Ellington’s Sacred Music Concert in Vancouver, BC. It will be the first time the Sacred Concert will be performed in Vancouver. This year’s concert will be a vehicle of celebration of the First United Church’s 125th Anniversary...and...fundraising for the continuation and expansion of the great and very important work that the church is doing for Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside residents. Please visit the First United Church website to learn more of the church’s work. The concert date is November 20, 2009. For details of these and all of my upcoming performances, please visit my “Dee Live” page.

In the field of music education, I have expanded my vocal clinics/workshops and masterclasses workshops. It is my goal to guide participants in accessing their entire vocal range, seamlessly and effortlessly by using two of my innovative vocal techniques: The Rose Breath, and The Dee Daniels Numbered Activation Method of Vocal Support. I also give private lessons so if you’re in the Vancouver, BC area, contact me for an appointment.

Because I believe we professionals have a loving obligation to give back and mentor our young people, in 2001, I created the Dee Daniels Jazz Vocal Scholarship at Capilano University in North Vancouver, BC. If you also believe in giving back, love music - especially Jazz music, no matter what your profession, your contribution of any amount to the DDJVS will be greatly appreciated. Please contact Jessica Thoms, Director of Development & Alumni Relations; Executive Director, Capilano University Foundation by email: Jthoms@capilanou.ca or telephone, (604) 984-1765. There are tax deduction benefits.

Thanks again for visiting my site. I’ll look forward to seeing YOU in the audience!

Here's wishing you the best in '09!
