February 13 - Saturday
"The Soul of Ray: The Music of Ray Charles"
Nationally acclaimed singer Dee Daniels joins The Jackson Symphony to perform the greatest hits of Ray Charles including "Let the Good Times Roll," "Georgia on My Mind," "I Got a Woman," and many more.

"Dee Daniels with Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival Gospel Choir"
The roots of Jazz run deep in the soul of the American experience. African-American Spirituals, Gospel Music, and the Blues provide the deep well from which Jazz is nourished. Step into this river of living history and be lifted onto the shoulders of musical wisdom. Also on the bill for the evening is Cyrus Chestnut, and the Taj Mahal Trio.

"The Lionel Hampton New York Big Band featuring Dee Daniels"
Lionel Hampton, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Glen Miller and Count Basie all knew how to throw a party. They put the best musicians in the world on the bandstand and turned them loose to swing hard and long. The dance floors will be down, the musicians will be primed and ready and the Kibbie Dome swinging like a gate.

This is music that endures, captivating new generations of music lovers. From Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy to the music of Casablanca and Oklahoma! – by composers like Cole Porter and Leonard Bernstein – this is a program that goes On The Town with style and grace.

"Jazz is..."
Russ Botten (bass) and Tony Foster (piano) join Dee for her annual performance at the Silk Purse. The concert will also celebrate Cheryl Karchut's last season before her retirement as Director of the West Vancouver Community Arts Council. Join Dee in this very intimate setting. Reserve early!

"Motown Meltdown"

Composer and a bandleader Duke Ellington remains one of the most influential figures in jazz, if not in American music. Join the Pops with jazz and blues vocalist Dee Daniels and conductor, Jeff Tyzik to pay homage to a musician who filled the world with a treasure trove of music that renews itself through every generation of fans and music-lovers. Duke Ellington wrote over 3,000 songs during his lifetime, but is best known for "It Don't Mean a Thing if It Ain't Got That Swing," "Sophisticated Lady," "Mood Indigo," "Solitude," "In a Mellotone," and "Satin Doll."

"Phil Dwyer Academy Of Musical & Culinary Arts Vocal Workshop"
This is the inaugural year for the PDAMCA vocal program. PDAMCA is thrilled to have Dee Daniels on staff. Vocalists will be backed up by Dee, pianists Phil Dwyer and Don Thompson, and a professional rhythm section including bass great Ken Lister.

PDAMCA is a unique educational experience, combining the knowledge and experience of top pro musicians/educators, with the energy and enthusiasm of up and coming young musicians, and fostering an appreciation of great local and organic eating. We bring in music loving foodies to help explore a healthy, environmentally aware approach to your eating habits and help you learn how to play, the old school way.
